Photo Essay: The Dreaded Laramie/The Weird Sisters

Best Friend Bar

The Dreaded Laramie are known around Lexington & Nashville for barreling through their fast-paced setlist with choreographed onstage antics and supafly attitude. At their most recent show in Lexington, the band brought Nashville friends along—The Weird Sisters—to participate in one of the more wild rides I’ve seen at Best Friend Bar. Most of the shows at BFB are high-energy, and haphazardly D.I.Y. (in the best way), but these two bands brought way more theatrics and spectacle to the floor.

The Dreaded Laramie’s set was expected to please, and their cover of No Doubt’s “Just A Girl,” was met with an incredible harmony of crowd participation. I was asked to attend the show to capture some pictures of the bands performing. I had the pleasure of seeing The Dreaded Laramie once before, but was knocked out by The Weird Sisters’ unique stage presence. The attendees were blessed with a few hours of absolute bitchin’ rock and roll!
